Caleb Orozco

April 12, 2006 — July 23, 2024

Magnolia, Texas

Caleb Orozco, born on April 12, 2006, in Kankakee Illinois, passed away on July 23, 2024, in Magnolia, Texas. A bright and promising young man, Caleb was a recent enlistee in the United States Navy, eager to serve his country with the same passion that characterized every aspect of his life.

Caleb was a graduate of Magnolia High School, where he cultivated not only his academic interests but also his love for music. His classical training on the chello was a testament to his artistic spirit, which flourished as he taught himself to play beloved tunes by ear. Notably, during the COVID-19 lockdown, he became enchanted with the show "Tokyo Ghoul," embracing the opportunity to master its theme song, which he played daily on his chello for months. This creativity extended to his culinary exploits, where he humorously turned protein powder into uniquely nutritious shakes that made every mealtime an adventure.

Known for his strong-willed nature and supportive personality, Caleb’s caring disposition made him a natural leader among his peers. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, exhibiting a thoughtful approach to life's challenges, flavored with his trademark sarcasm. His free-spirited attitude was complemented by an admiration for fashion and grooming, reflecting his desire to look and smell good while exploring life’s offerings.

Caleb had a profound appreciation for the natural world, often spending time in his backyard or atop the family truck, lost in the beauty of the skies. His interests ranged from fitness and nutrition to astronomy and cloud spotting, allowing him to engage with the world around him in unique and meaningful ways. He enjoyed playing video games, particularly Roblox, as well as performing music on both the bass guitar and piano.

Caleb leaves behind cherished family members, including his mother, Tiquella Russell; his father, Juan C. Orozco, Sr. (Rochelle Orozco); his brothers, Juan C. Orozco, Jr., Jeremiah Orozco, James Russell, and Isaiah Russell; his sister, Tehya Orozco and his best friend Eric Matute. Each of them embraced his vibrant spirit in their own way, and they are left with fond memories of their time together.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 24, 2024, at Family First Cremation Services in Spring, Texas, beginning at 4:00 PM. This gathering will honor the bright light that Caleb was, as family and friends come together to reflect on the joy he brought to their lives.
