Craig Smith

[wds id="11"] On Sunday, September 23, 2018, Craig Smith went home to His Lord and Savior. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 8, 1948 to Earl Carroll Smith, Sr. and Evelyn Norris Smith. He resided in Katy, Texas with his wife, Marcy Smith at the time of his death. Many family members grieve Craig’s passing. He was… A loving father of Dawn, Marc and wife Kristy, and Nicholas and wife Kathy. Blessed with a full family of 5 siblings, Gene in Maine, two brothers in Maryland and two that passed away as infants. Dear to his step-sons, Earl and wife Cheryl, Eric and wife Denisa. An amazing grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren.   Craig and Marcy have been active members of Second Baptist Church in Katy, including singing in the choir and attending Bible Study. The Lord gave Craig a beautiful talent for singing which he humbly used as part of his ministry. Craig served his country through the U.S. Marine Corps, in the Vietnam War, then through the Police Department in Maryland. He began this heart for service in the Boy Scouts as a young man. A private graveside service will be held in Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors for Craig’s service to our country in the United States Marine Corps. A Memorial Service is still being planned. The family extends their gratitude for gifts, flowers, food, and kind words of condolences.  Craig will be forever loved and missed by his loving family and friends. 2 Corinthians 5 (KJV) (8) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
