Dick Lee Cowell, a loving husband, father, and Air Force veteran, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 10, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1944 in Denver, CO where he grew up. He met his wife Cynthia Pille in Loveland, CO, and they were married October 1, 1983. In 1997, they moved to Houston, TX where Dick worked as a consumer fraud analyst.
Dick loved everything car related, especially hot rods. In his early years, he held a national drag racing title. He had a large collection of NASCAR memorabilia and die cast models. He loved the beauty of Colorado’s mountains and enjoyed visiting as often as he could. He had a soft spot in his heart for all animals, especially his many dogs.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia, sister Sandy, son Marc, daughter Leanne, daughter-in-law Dawn, and grandson Dante. Cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of his life in Illinois and Colorado later this year.
On behalf of Family First, we offer our sincere condolences.
