Donald Scott Viningre, age 51, of Spring, Texas, passed away on August 28, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1973, in Houston, Texas, and he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments. His infectious spirit brought joy to all who knew him.
Scotty was proud to be a graduate of McCullough High School, class of 1993. Throughout his life, he exemplified a passionate and loving personality, often found laughing and joking with family and friends. He was a devoted member of the C Troop 1st of the 9th Calvary, where he received an honorary membership, reflecting his dedication and commitment.
In his free time, Scotty enjoyed a variety of hobbies that highlighted his vibrant character. He had a deep appreciation for country music, often sharing his favorite songs with anyone who would listen. Bowling and running with his buddies were among his favored pastimes, and he never missed an opportunity to spend time watching wrestling, a passion he shared with friends and family alike.
Scotty is survived by his loving parents, Don and Mary Ann Viningre; his sister, Melanie Jones, and her husband, Dale; his brother, Brook Viningre, and his wife, Laurie; his brother, James Chaffin, and his wife, Tommie; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and many friends. He touched the lives of countless individuals, including caregivers and anyone fortunate enough to come into contact with him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Northwood Church, located at 7750 Spring Cypress Road in Spring, Texas. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location at 7:00 PM, allowing family and friends to gather and share their memories of Scotty. A graveside service will take place on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 11:15 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that you make a donation in memory of Scotty to The Woodland Shooting Stars Special Olympics, Gary Sinise Foundation or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Scotty's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of laughter, love, and passion for life will be cherished forever.
