Gerald Ogbuja
May 12, 1969 - June 30, 2020
Gerald Chijioke Ogbuja, 51 years old, passed on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in his residence in Houston Texas. He was born on May 12, 1969 in Lagos Nigeria. He was the first son to Oblate Mr. Victor Ukachi Ogbuja and late Oblate Mrs. Mary-Bernadette Mbelugbo Ogbuja. He went through the seminary formations in Nigeria but could not become a priest that he divinely desired to be. Gerald came to the United States of America to actualize his priesthood desires. After a second unsuccessful attempt to become a priest, he continued his studies for a PhD in Organizational Psychology that he could have completed in July 2020, few weeks following his death. Through Gerald’s articulate writing skills, his heart and beliefs are constantly poured out to help the voiceless be heard. Before his death, his catholic doctrines and exposures propelled his focus toward writing many articles and research works on matters that revolve around the church, psychology, and humanity. His gentle, kind, and humble temperaments were shown in his works and life. Gerald is survived by his father, brother, 3 sisters, 5 nephews, 12 nieces, 3 brothers-in-law as well as a host of cousins and friends. Adieu beloved Gerald! We hope to meet you in paradise on the last day where you would still be given the opportunity to become a priest of God that you had desired to be while on this earth. – On behalf of the family (Oblate Victor U. Ogbuja & family) Bible Verse Psalm 34 verse 22: The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned. Officiating Priest Rev. Fr. George Okeahialam (MSP)Visits: 22
