Jeanie A. Austin, a cherished member of the community, left us on August 29, 2023. She was born on May 17, 1949, in Houston, Texas. Jeanie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who dedicated her life to the nurturing and development of children.

Jeanie's passion for childcare led her to pursue a career in Childcare Development after graduating from the University of California. Her unwavering commitment to providing a safe and loving environment for children touched the lives of many families throughout her career.

Her vibrant and unique personality made Jeanie unforgettable to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She possessed incredible strength, compassion, and an endless capacity for caring. Jeanie genuinely loved God's children and always put them at the forefront of everything she did.

Outside of her professional life, Jeanie had a multitude of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She was an avid reader who embraced knowledge at every opportunity. Additionally, she found solace in expressing herself through creative outlets such as tole painting and various crafts. Jeanie's talent for building things allowed her to create beautiful pieces that will continue to be treasured by those fortunate enough to have received them.

In her journey through life, Jeanie was blessed with a loving family that meant everything to her. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ron E. Austin, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together they built a foundation of love and support that will forever be cherished.

Jeanie's legacy also includes her children Christopher E. Austin Sr., Rhonda Yvonne Ilgenfritz, and Ronald E. Austin Jr., as well as her grandchildren Christopher E. Austin Jr., Kate I. Ilgenfritz, and Benjamin I. Ilgenfritz. Jeanie was preceded by her son Ronald E. Austin Jr. Each one held a special place in Jeanie's heart and brought immeasurable joy into her life. 

During her lifetime, Jeanie formed strong bonds with those around her. Her sister, Penny Sue Schomer, shared a close and unbreakable bond with Jeanie, providing unwavering support and cherished memories. Jeanie's genuine nature and radiant smile touched the lives of countless friends and extended family members.

In celebration of Jeanie's life, a memorial service will be held on September 6, 2023, at Spring Baptist Church, located at 633 E Louetta Rd, Spring, TX 77373. The service will start at 9:00 AM, allowing loved ones to gather and share stories of how Jeanie's kindness impacted their lives.

Jeanie A. Austin will forever be remembered as a soul who radiated love and compassion. Her legacy of caring for children and nurturing their development will continue to inspire all who knew her. May her spirit live on through the memories she created and the lives she touched.
