Jesusa “Susan” Gonzalez Alaman, age 74 of Spring TX, was called home to be with our heavenly father on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023.
Susan, daughter of Donato and Delfina (Ramirez) Gonzalez entered the world with a BANG on July 4th, 1949, in Lambert, MS. This was the beginning of an amazing life.
Susan was a great warrior of God and her unwavering faith in the Lord was 1st and foremost in her life. She loved singing in her church praise and worship team, and leading Women’s ministries both at church and in her community and was an active member of the church’s intercessory prayer team. Later Susan became an ordained minister allowing her to share God’s word and her love of the lord with everyone she met.
Susan was a proud and dedicated mother of three children, and a loving a devoted Memaw to her granddaughters.
Anyone blessed to have met her had a place at home in her heart. While like the firecrackers that burst on her birthday, she was fiery, but the love she held for her family, brothers, sisters, along with many friends she made through the years was unconditional.
She was preceded in death by parents Donato and Delfina Gonzalez, and siblings, Sophia Ramos, Rodrigo Gonzalez, and Cenovia DeLeon.
Survivors include her former husband, John Alaman, and their children, Johnathon Alaman (wife Danielle), Jennifer Portier (husband Shane), Delphie Perez (husband Robert). She is also survived by grandchildren, Isabella Portier, Alyssa Portier, Victoria Perez, Scarlet Shively. Susan left behind her siblings, Aurora Martinez, Adelina Gutierrez, Clara Molina , B. Valadez, Juanita DeLeon, Lionel Gonzalez, and Elvira Alonso. She also leaves behind countless members of her extended family and many friends.
A private viewing for immediate family will be held in Spring, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held in Waco, TX at a later date.
