Jody Ferguson

Jody Keith Ferguson, 60, died at home, May 18th, 2019. He was born January 20th, 1959 in Houma, LA. He was the son of Thomas Levi Ferguson and Raida Beth Jones. Jody graduated from A.C. Jones High School, May 26th, 1978. Years later, he married his first wife, Donna, who is the mother to his 2 children, Brandon Keith Ferguson and Ashley Nicole Ferguson Knabe.

Jody spent 9 years as an 18 wheeler driver for Stevens Transport. He also worked at Goodman Manufacturing for 9 years as a leadman, while pursuing his dream of becoming a pipeline welder. He wasn't able to weld anymore, after he got sick in October of 2015. He was diagnosed with advanced rectal cancer, which had metastasized to his lungs and eventually the liver.

Jody was preceded in death, by his brother, Bryan Earl Ferguson, his sister, Brenda Dailey,  and his father, Thomas Levi Ferguson.

Surviving, are his current wife, Danielle Verry; his mother, Raida Beth Redman; sisters, Judith Elaine Barron and Merabeth Ferguson; brothers in law, Brian Barron and Tony Grenell; several nieces and nephews, along with Jody's 3 grandchildren, Savannah Ferguson, Henry Knabe, and Dax Knabe.
