Joey Miller

Joey Miller, 60, passed away on May 8, 2018 at her residence in Spring, Texas. She was born on June 13, 1957 in Bozeman, Montana. She moved with her parents, Elizabeth May Howard and Theron Verl Sargent from Bozeman to Kerns, Utah in 1960. In 1962 she moved to Roy, Utah and stayed until her graduation from Roy High School. After High School she attended The University of Toronto and earned her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She later decided that she wanted to become a professional dog trainer and earned many different certificates from The Animal Behavior College, The AKC Clinic School, and Karen Pryor Academy. Some of these included becoming a certified professional dog trainer, an AKC evaluator, and CPR certified. Joey was actively involved with Pet Tech and ASPCA. In her free time, she enjoyed horseback riding and lifting weights. But her favorite things to do when she wasn’t with her dogs, were serving others at Northside Christian Church and watching football. Joey is survived by her husband, Dr. George Raymond Miller, Jr.; daughter, Brandy Miller; grandchildren, Dustin and Kayla Miller; and her brother, Phillip Paul Sargent. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Joey’s life on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm, located at Northside Christian Church, 20250 Kuykendahl Road, Spring, Texas 77379.
