Jose Arturo Campos Sr.

Jose Arturo Campos Sr.  was called to Heaven unexpectedly on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Kingwood Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Jose was born in Los Ramirez, Rio Grande, Zacatecas Mexico on October 28, 1957 to Jose Campos- Acosta and Paula Hernandez.  He was the oldest and most handsome of three brothers. Jose Campos was a very gifted man with agriculture, some might even say he was “the flower whisperer”. He had a knack for making gardens flourish and grow. Jose was never on to be caught indoors because outside he was in his element. Jose was such a hard worker with little time, but he always found it to tend to his home every night. He was a lover of action movies but never actually finished one, he would always fall asleep. Jose was always devoted and there for his family here and in Mexico and he took care of anyone that needed a helping hand. Jose was great with his three grandchildren. They knew where to go if they ever needed anything. Jose was a loving and caring person that  always had a smile on his face. His love for Spanish music and corridos drove us all crazy. He was always one for a celebration and family. He was a son, a brother, a father and a great friend. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years Maria Campos; his daughter Irma Gonzalez and her husband Mark Gonzalez and their two children Chloe Elizabeth Gonzalez and Mark Anthony Gonzalez; his son Jose Campos Jr. and his wife Tracie Campos their son’s Miklo Joaquin Campos, Caden Weddington and his daughter Lydia Weddington; the four women he considered his sisters Linda Pantoja, Peggy Penado, Carmina Montoya and Nora Mata; his nieces and nephews Laura Parker, Andrew Perez, Marty Pantoja, Dominique Montoya and Sergio Montoya. He is also survived by his Mother Paula Hernandez; Father Jose Campos Acosta; brothers Alfredo and Oscar Campos as well many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Jose also leaves behind a huge group of friends to cherish his memory.
