In Memory of Joseph Randall Trybus
Joseph Randall Trybus, better known as Randy, of Austin, Texas, lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the age of 71.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ella Ruth Casey Davis, and father John Robert Trybus. He is survived by his sister, Janis Kaye Trybus, and her partner, Barbara M. Cossie of Austin, Texas, and many enduring friends.
Born (May 30, 1949) and raised in Beaumont, Texas, Randy served in the U.S. Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge, earned his B.S. in History from Lamar State, and his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
When not practicing law, Randy could be found reading, or in the History section of a bookstore. He loved traveling to visit historical landmarks and museums. He was also very involved with local, state, and national politics, and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. He helped strangers in times of need, contributed to numerous charities, and loved on every puppy that crossed his path. He had a good sense of humor, making hard times easier to get through.
Life was never dull with Randy around, and he will be greatly missed. We are only comforted to know that Randy knows who Randy is again.
There will be no funeral due to the current Covid-19 pandemic. Memorial pamphlets will be mailed out to family and friends to commemorate his passing.
