Linda Gavin Bright
04/07/1945 - 07/31/2018
Linda Gragg Bright, a wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend went home to be with our Heavenly Father, Tuesday, July 31st, 2018.
Born, April 7th 1945, she was a native Houstonian. Linda graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended college at Our Lady of the Lake University graduating with honors receiving an MBA in Business. She practiced a successful insurance brokerage career in the Marine and Oil Industry.
Always ready to dance, Linda’s passion and joy for a good beat filled a room. She also enjoyed long walks beside the lake and could be found enjoying nature walks at the Kickerillo Mischer Preserve. As a world traveler from Australia to the Middle East, Linda was presented the Million Mile Pin from United Airlines for flying over a million miles.
Linda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Alan Bright, and her son, John Gragg. She also is survived by her three sisters: Billie Swonke, Verna Swonke, and Cathy Sapp and her grandchildren Kendall and Kylee Clark. Linda was predeceased by her father Richard Gavin, mother Mary Stokes, and her son, Wade Clark.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Second Baptist, West Campus Church, on
Friday, August 10th
. Viewing will be at
9:00am.
Service starts at
10:00am.
Following the service, a short graveside service will conclude at Woodlawn Cemetery.
