Mark Allen Bowers

Mark Allen Bowers, 61, passed away on December 28, 2018, in Antigua, Guatemala, from complications of a motorcycle accident. Mark was born in Port Arthur, Texas, June 6, 1957 to Charles L. Bowers and Katherine Latimer Bowers. Upon his graduation from Klein High School he attended Texas A&M University and earned a degree in Electronics. He was employed in the electronic technology sector until his retirement to Guatemala. He is survived by his two children, Mark Allen Bowers, Jr. and wife, Lianna, and Kristine Michelle Bowers. Mark was scheduled to be married to Isabel Duarte of Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was a member of the Church of Christ and spent many years teaching Jesus in the Texas prison system. In Guatemala he called “McGuyver” to his ability to repair anything. Mark also spent time in Mexico, Honduras and the island of Cay Caulker, Belize. A graveside memorial service with be held at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery in Tomball, Texas on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
