Michael Stephen Reed

Michael Stephen Reed of Spring, TX, passed away July 27, 2023 after a short illness. He was born in Olathe, KS on January 26, 1969 and graciously given up for adoption to Patricia Stein and Mike Reed. From age 11 on, he was very close with his stepfather, Martin Stein.

He was raised in Topeka, KS and graduated Topeka West High School in 1987 and Grace School of Theology in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies achieving highest honors. Michael married Vicki Lynn Terpening on April 29, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by his dad, Mike. Michael is survived by his wife Vicki and sons Kyle Bowman of Spring, TX and Alexander Hudgens of Eudora, KS; his mother and father Patricia and Martin Stein of Las Cruces, NM; sister Kelsey Stein (Christos Stephanides) of Brisbane, Australia; cherished Uncle Dale and Aunt Vicky Hofer of Eudora, KS and Aunt Shirley Haley of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandsons Malachi and Ezekiel Hudgens; cousins like siblings Jim Greer, Tracy Davisson, and Trish Keys; sister from another mother Linda Ezernack and beloved Shelby Stewart who has been like a daughter. 

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5^, at Community Baptist Church, 8909 Cochrans Crossing Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381.
