Mitchell Myles Willis, age 19, went to be with his Savior on February 22, 2023. He was born May 9, 2003, to parents Monte and Dyan Willis in The Woodlands, Texas. Mitchell accepted Jesus as his Savior at an early age. He attended Spring First Church and Northwood Church. He began his education at Providence Classical School and was a 2022 graduate of Klein Cain High School.
Mitchell grew up in Tomball and loved being surrounded by his brother, sister and many friends. He had a passion for sports and played basketball, baseball and football and was a great athlete and competitive in nature. He loved to fish and did for hours on end with his brother and friends. Everyone loved Mitchell’s sense of humor. He loved to laugh but loved it more if you laughed with him. This never left him, even as a young man.
As soon as Mitchell turned 16, he was so happy to land a job where he would work and enjoy his newfound sport: skating at Skate Champions. Mitchell loved the speed he had on skates. He liked to DJ and choose fun music for skaters and always had enthusiasm in his voice when promoting contests for skaters. Mitchell enjoyed riding anything with wheels and loved the thrill of riding outdoors on his four wheelers. He had a passion for car shows and driving the Scat Pack and Corvette.
As a senior in high school, Mitchell began working as a waiter at Shogun. While working, he missed being away from his friends and sister, so as positions opened, he took efforts for those spots to be filled by four of his closest friends and sister. Mitchell transformed his part-time job to include those he loved to hang out with.
At 17, Mitchell was deeply saddened with the passing of his older brother, Monte. But his strong faith in God's Word for eternal life never let his loss alter his outlook on life. Mitchell knew he would see Monte again one day and often talked of the happiness that day would bring him. Mitchell was a kind soul with a golden heart and was a light to so many. He was proud of his family and friends, and they were blessed beyond measure to have Mitchell in their lives.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his brother, Monte Mark Willis, II, grandmother Carol Amerson, great grandmother Juana Pyle, aunt Mary Davis.
