Neil Pope

May 22, 1968 — October 30, 2024

Neil Pope, a devoted family man and a dedicated electrician, passed away on October 30, 2024, in Humble, Texas, at the age of 56. Born on May 22, 1968, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, Neil's journey led him to his cherished life in the United States, where he forged lasting connections and left an indelible mark on those he loved.

Neil was a proud graduate of the IEC of Houston, embarking on a career as a skilled electrician. His talent and dedication earned him a reputation as "a damn good electrician," reflecting not only his expertise but also his commitment to hard work.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Neil was many things—blunt and honest, with a sense of humor that brought joy to those fortunate enough to have known him. He was a loving family man, who delighted in moments spent with his wife, Edi Pope, and his children: Jacob, Zoe, and Corrine Mason, as well as his step-children, Sarah Roberts and Joshua De La Rosa. Neil's personality shone brightly in his role as a father, often providing heartfelt moments of laughter and sincerity. Family gatherings were enriched by his unique humor, as illustrated by his memorable quips, including his playful refusal to eat vegetables, which he expressed with a signature comic flair. Neil found joy in hobbies such as building RC trucks and model train sets, and he enjoyed playing soccer and attending RC Truck conventions.

Neil's memory will be cherished by his loving family, including his mother, Patricia Shaw; his father, David Pope; his sister, Susan Simpson; and his brother, David Pope. They, along with the friends he made throughout his life, will forever hold onto the laughter and love he brought into their lives.
