Newell Eugene Holtzhouser, born on April 7, 1936, in Clarkton, MO, has passed away on May 9, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was a devoted Salesman Manufacturers Representative by profession but was so much more to those knew and loved him.
Newell spent most of his life in St. Louis MO, until he made the decision to move to Houston Texas in 2012. A man of many talents and interests, Newell found great joy in being a referee while his sons played hockey. This role not only showcased his love for sports but also exemplified his supportive nature towards his children.
Education was important to Newell, as evidenced by his graduation from Rosevelt High School Class of 1954. Following high school, he served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1962, demonstrating his dedication to his country.
Outside of work and service, Newell embraced various hobbies and interests including golf, poker, and softball. These activities brought him immense pleasure and allowed him to unwind from the demands of everyday life.
Described as outgoing and always offering encouragement to his children, Newell's personality shone brightly wherever he went. His positive attitude and kind words left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Newell Eugene Holtzhouser leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his children Steve (Lynn), Stephanie and Scott (Julie); grandchildren Nicole (Mike), Max (Leah), Stephen, Samantha (Doug) and Doug - a testament to the family he built and nurtured throughout his life.
