Robert Ray Slowik

Robert Ray Slowik, 69, passed away on January 17 ^th , 2021, at Houston Methodist Hospital of the Woodlands. He was born on July 8 ^th , 1951 in Detroit, Michigan. He is the son of John Walter Slowik and Angeline Slowik. He proudly served in the United States Navy from June 30 ^th , 1969 to March 9, 1973. While in the Navy he earned the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendations. Robert was also proud member of the VFW. He is described as being an extraordinary man, a jokester, understanding, loving and a proud man who adored his family, country and the outdoors. He preceded in death his mother Angeline Slowik, his father John Slowik, his brother John Slowik, and his sister Cynthia Slowik. He is survived by his wife Betty Slowik; his brother Andrew Slowik; daughters Rachel Conkle Slowik,  Laura  Slowik, Michelle Wachner Kaase, son David Wachner, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
