After suffering multiple strokes in a little less than two weeks, Tanya Joy Cohan passed away on April 15th, 2020. She was 33 years old and cherished by just about everyone she interacted with. She is survived by her loving partner Sean Mangan and their infant daughter Lakely June Mangan.
Tanya was born March 9th, 1987, in Portmouth, VA. The first years of her life were spent moving between several states as a daughter in a military family, including Florida, Illinois, Virginia, and finally Texas, where she spent the majority of her tumultuous childhood. After graduating high school, she moved to beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado, where she met an amazing group of people she would fondly refer to as her second family. Eight years later, she returned to Texas to re-establish family connections, and ended up starting a little family of her own with her partner Sean.
She loved the outdoors, biking, and her Pitbull, Apollo.
Tanya’s life was just beginning when it was cut far too short by unexplained circumstances, leaving her vast network of family and friends feeling stunned and devastated. She was a passionate, positive force of nature that chased happiness unapologetically, and she will be remembered as such.
