TEDDIE (TED) WELDON MATTHEWS JR.

Teddie (Ted) Weldon Matthews Jr., 78 of Houston, Texas passed away on July 2, 2020 from Covid-19 complications.  He was born in Little Rock, AR on July 8, 1941 to the late Teddie Weldon Matthews Sr. and Montean Matthews of Enola, AR.

Weldon is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Daniel Pracht and his brother in law Rex Lyons.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years, Pat Matthews of Houston, TX.  His two daughters, Carrie Jo Burnett (David) of Kingwood, TX, and Julie Biever (Rick) of Richmond, TX.

To his grandchildren he was Papa. His grandchildren are; Rachel Treutle (Jonathan) of San Antonio, TX, Taylor Self (Trevor) of Irving, TX and Emily Burnett of Kingwood, TX. Great grandchildren, Jonathan and Waylon Treutle of San Antonio, TX.

Sister, Jackie Sue Lyons of North Little Rock, Niece, Kathy Ussery (Eugene) of Sherwood, AR, Nephew, Guy Lyons (Mary) of North Little Rock, AR, along with 6 great nieces and nephews. Brother in law, Jim Petersen (Dee) of Henderson/Ely, NV, and a host of family and friends.

We are complying with the Texas Department of Health guidelines and are not able to hold a service or memorial currently during the Covid-19 outbreak.
