VELLER JONES RICHARD

April 18th, 1951-February 9th, 2023

 

VELLER Jones Richard, 71 years of age, passed away on Thursday, February 9th, 2023 peacefully at Herman Memorial Medical Center Houston, TX.

 

Veller Jones Richard was born April 18th, 1951 in Memphis, TN to the late Earline Fields Jones and the late Fred Jones Sr.. Veller was one of thirteen children. Veller was preceded in death by her (Mother) Earline Fields Jones, (Father) Fred Jones Sr., (Brothers) Jerry Jones, Jimmy Lee, Jeffery Jones, Melvin Burrell and (Sister) Bernice Jones. Veller was survived by her children Vivica and Jamie Moore, Howard and Treena Richard and Sonja Peteet, Torrence Thompson and Shamya Richard. Her grandchildren Erika Banks, Brandon Lord, Kylon Peteet, Ashley Moore, Jaeunte Moore, Brittany, Serenity and Renee and a host of great grandchildren.

 

Veller Jones Richard went to Manassas Highschool. Went on the marry Howard Richard in 1968. They moved to Gary, Indiana. Veller would later meet Charles Drain where they were separated by death in 2007. She moved to Houston, Texas in 2008 where she enjoyed the remainder of her life until transition.

 

A memorial will be held Thursday the 16th From 6-8pm at Family First  Cremation Services.
