Vernon McFalls, affectionately known as Pawpaw and Pops, was born on March 2, 1940, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He passed away peacefully in Tomball, Texas, on January 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by his family and friends.
Vernon dedicated 30 years of his life to Coca-Cola, where he forged lasting relationships and contributed significantly to the company. His time in the Texas National Guard, from which he received an Honorable Discharge, speaks to his commitment and service to his country.
Vernon was a man full of life, with a happy-go-lucky personality that brought joy to those around him. He was a loving father and a devoted Pawpaw, always ready to share stories and create memories with his children and grandchildren. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love of fishing, hunting and gardening. Additionally, he was a skilled mechanic and found great joy in working on equipment for anyone in need.
Vernon is survived by his beloved life partner of 40 years, LaRuth Jones, known as Nana. He is also survived by his children: Jeff McFalls and wife Lesli McFalls, Karen Nelson and husband Kirby Nelson, Kevin McFalls, Scott Jones and wife Denese Jones, Judy Book and husband Ben Book, and Ricky Jones. His legacy continues through his grandchildren Joshua and wife Nicole McFalls, Bryan Jenschke, Blaine McFalls, Brad Jones, and Brandon Jones. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Hayden and Waylon McFalls.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on February 1, 2025, at Clear Creek Forest 11 Pavilion, 405 Fantail Street, Magnolia, Texas 77355. The event will begin at 11:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 PM, providing family and friends with the opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a remarkable man.
Vernon McFalls will be remembered for his kindness, his infectious spirit, and the unconditional love he bestowed upon his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
