Vivian Lucille Bell Griswold

Vivian Lucille Bell Griswold, 79, passed away on March 4, 2019 at her home in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on February 6, 1940 to John Bell and Vivian Smith Bell in Oakland, California. She graduated from Hayward High School in Hayward, California on June 13, 1957. She went on to graduate from a business school in Hayward. She was a Campfire Girl and a member of Theta Rho. She married James Griswold on March 21, 1958 in Castro Valley, California and they had five children. Vivian was a homemaker and loving mother to Debra, Denise, Jimmy, David and Cyndee. She enjoyed Bowling, puzzles, reading, church and her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved looking out her window and anticipating the weather. She was serious about her Bingo and never missed a Crafts class. Vivian always had a smile for you. She could be playful and funny. She was a woman with God in her heart. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Vivian was predeceased by her loving daughter Debra Pugh and her husband Gordon Pugh. She was also predeceased by her mother Vivian Bell, her father John Bell, and her brothers Gerald Bell and Darryl Bell. As well as her grandparents Stanley Smith and Lucille Fraser Smith.

Vivian is survived by her daughter Denise Gutierrez and her husband Rodrigo, son Jimmy Griswold and his wife Jan, Son David Griswold, daughter Cyndee Farra and her husband Jason. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Michael Griswold, Stephen Pugh, Greg Pugh, Ryan Welborn, Maggie Farra, Riley Farra, Brytnee Morton, Emily Berry, James Thurman, Ashley Adams, Clay Adams, Melissa Gutierrez, Vincent Gutierrez and Christopher Gutierrez. They loved their Grandma very much. As did her surviving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her beloved sister-in-law Linda Bell and Aunt Betty Peterson.

The family would like to give their warmest gratitude to everyone who cared for her over the years and especially the last month. They are grateful for all her loving friends who gave her joy.
